Supporting children with visual disabilities is a good deed which the Russian Orthodox Church makes a valuable contribution.
Every year since 2009 His Holiness Kiryll Patriarch of
“My thankfulness to the people who arranged the publishing of the wonderful books that can be comprehended by the handicapped children”- Patriarch said during the books giving ceremony held at the Christ Redeemer Cathedral Moscow.
Besides the Moscow Patriarchate twelve eparchies of the Russian Orthodox Church are now the participants of the Books for Gift Program. With their support, as much as 250 children with visual disabilities who live in the different parts of
